Dr. Chao Li » Molecules on Surfaces: Motion, Vibration, Spin, and Charge State

Department of Physics, University of Basel

Joined with the Nanoseminar! Lecture room F2 at 14:00.

Location: Lecture room F2 First floor, Ke Karlovu 5, Praha 2

In recent decades, the study of molecules on surfaces has garnered significant attention owing to its multifaceted relevance across various scientific disciplines. In this presentation, I will delve into three intriguing aspects of this field. Firstly, I will discuss the controlled motion of SnCl2Pc molecules on copper surfaces at room temperature. Secondly, I will explore the vibrational and spin states of AlPc molecules on superconducting Pb substrates, shedding light on their intricate surface interactions. Lastly, I will investigate the charge states and their pronounced electron-vibration coupling effects observed in TBTAP molecules, providing valuable insights into their electronic behavior on surfaces. Through these investigations, we aim to deepen our understanding of molecules on surfaces and pave the way for future advancements in surface science and nanotechnology.
