I am Petr and I do science.
I am a physicist, principal investigator and research group leader at the Department of Condensed Matter Physics, Charles University. My research combines quantum materials, neutron scattering, crystal growth, scientific instrumentation, laboratory automation and open research data.
Research group
I lead an independent research team at Charles University and MGML (Materials Growth & Measurement Laboratory).
Team members
I am the principal investigator of the MaMBA project, a GACR JUNIOR STAR project at Charles University.
Research
I work at MGML, our low-temperature magnetic laboratory in Troja.
My research spans experimental condensed-matter physics, quantum materials, neutron and X-ray scattering, crystal growth, scientific instrumentation and automation.
Open science
I am an open-data maximalist and Figshare ambassador.
I lead the Physical Sciences Working Group of EOSC CZ , focusing on research data, FAIR principles and research infrastructure for the physical sciences.
Scientific technology
I am a co-founder of Charles Automata, a Charles University spin-off developing robotics and automation for scientific laboratories.
Community & teaching
I am a member of the committee of the Czech Neutron Association (CNA).
I am also teaching (in Czech only).
